AHMEDABAD: A delegation of about 100 representatives of American companies, led by Cisco Chief John Chambers, will attend the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017.
Top US firms such as Emerson, CME Group, 3M Company, Varian Medical, Dell, Boeing, BIO, Lockheed Martin, FedEx, Gilead, Huntsman Corporation and MasterCard, who are member companies of the US-India Business Council (USIBC), will participate in the summit to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mr. Mukesh Aghi, President, US India Business Council, said, “Vibrant Gujarat has provided an impetus to industrial growth and innovation. It has paved the way for multinational companies to integrate India in their global supply chain.”
“In 2016-17, USIBC is expecting an inflow of $27 billion to India from at least 52 US companies,” he added.
The USIBC delegation, consisting of several CEOs and senior executives, is expected to hold meetings with Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, besides several Union Ministers, to explore investment opportunities.
USIBC and the US Embassy will host a seminar at summit, focusing on the US-led innovation and entrepreneurship as a driver for economic growth in India.
