HDASCO vessel MV Arezoo Maiden call at KICT

MUMBAI: M V Arezoo of HDASCO (HAFEZ DARYA ARYA SHIPPING COMPANY) belonging to the IRISL Group Tehran made a maiden call at the Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT) Kandla on Sunday 16th April 2017 and sailed on 17th morning after discharging 998x20; empties and loading 607x20 export laden containers.

M V Arezoo is one of the two vessels with a capacity of 1100 TEU each operating on the IIX service connecting Nhava Sheva & Kandla direct to Bandar Abbas in Iran and Umm Qasr in Iraq; and through Bandar Abbas to other Iranian Ports i.e. Chabahar, Bushair, Asuliya, and BIK.

Mr Mahmoud Pishbin – India Representative of HDAS Line emphasized that this move brings with it substantial logistics cost advantages to the Indian Exporters and Importers, both local and at North India ICDs, now that KICT is rail linked to DICT (Delhi International Container Terminal) at Sonepat.

Further, The IIX service will also help connect through Bandar Abbas, other HDASCO services to and from the China & the Far East, East & West Mediterranean and North Europe Ports.
