Kandla Port handles highest cargo of 5.45 lakh MT in a single day during FY 2017-18

GANDHIDHAM: Kandla Port Trust handled a total cargo volume of 5.45 lakh MT on 22.5.17. It comprised of 4.26 Lakh MTs of Crude oil and POL traffic at Vadinar and, 1.19 lakh MTs of Dry & liquid Cargo at Kandla. This is the highest cargo handled in a single day during FY 2017-18. As regards the record of 2016-17, 5.83 lakh MT was handled on 27.10.2016.

During the current financial year, up to 23.5.17, the Port has handled a cargo volume of 16.017 MMT as compared to 14.249 MMT handled during the corresponding period of last year, achieving an increase of 12.41%.
