MUMBAI: Forex reserves fell by USD 547 million to USD 378.8 billion during the week ended 26 May 2017. Reserves touched an all-time high of USD 379.3 billion during the preceding week. Foreign currency assets, the largest component, fell by USD 555 million to USD 354.5 billion.
On the other hand, SDR and India’s reserve position at IMF increased during the week ended 26 May 2017. SDR rose by USD 3.1 million to USD 1.5 billion and India’s reserve position at IMF rose by USD 4.9 million to USD 2.3 billion. Gold reserves remained unchanged from week-ago levels at USD 20.4 billion.
