Bhavani Foundation undertakes CSR activity for School Children

MUMBAI: Bhavani Foundation undertakes various activities for the downtrodden school children and other affected children in and around Raigad District as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. Bhavani Foundation has recently arranged for a School Supply donation campaign at Adivasi Schools in Khalapur on 28th June 2017.

This unique campaign distributed school supplies for the students of Khalapur. Around 500 students from eight Schools like Bhilwale Parishad, Bhilwale Thakurwadi, Varosey, Nadaal, Khatkarwadi, Thoopgaon, Jambivali and Varoseywadi were assisted with this donation.

Shri. Kusumodar D Shetty, President of Bhavani Foundation inaugurated this camp by lighting the lamp. Members of the Trust Mr. Jeekshith Shetty, Adv. Shri. Mohideen Mundkur, Mr. Naveen Shetty, Mr. Premnath Mundkur and Mrs. Rajalakshmi, Chief Distribution Head of Sakaal News paper, Mr. Dinesh Shetty, Raigad District Education Association Head, Mr. Anant Thakur, Mr. Muralidhar Palwe  graced this function with their presence.

In the current year, Bhavani Foundation renovated two schools, namely - Bhilawale and Bhilawale Thakurwadi School at Khalapur which was inaugurated on the Republic Day i.e. 26th January 2017. As a matter of pride, the number of students has multiplied after this renovation according to the local sources. The foundation is also sponsoring a English Teacher in a school at Dhutum Village, Uran Taluka, Raigad District. The foundation has donated a bus in a school at Nadumogaru, Bantval Taluk, Karnataka in June 2016 alongside sponsoring a police booth at Bunts Sangha, Mumbai.
