Adani Mundra Port successfully handles Diesel locomotive of GE for Indian Railways

AHMEDABAD: Mundra Port successfully handled first Diesel locomotive of GE, USA for Indian Railways on 10th October 2017. The vessel named MV Rickmers Hamburg has a Parcel Size of 139.072 MT. The locomotives manufactured by General Electric (GE), USA were received by Indian Railways, Roza Loco Shed (UP).

With the purpose of Dedicated Freight Cargo Corridor, the selling point for the port was the availability of port based railways infrastructure to facilitate the commissioning of Loco’s. Also the strategic location of port was an advantage.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) is India’s largest private multi-port operator. APSEZ is a part of the Adani Group, an integrated infrastructure corporation.
