HYDERABAD : Andhra Pradesh Government and Dubai Based global leader in Maritime and Logistics business D P World set up a working group to identify the areas of cooperation during the State Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's visit to United Arab Emirates last week.
Mr. Chandrababu Naidu who met Chairman of DP World Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, during the visit requested him to make investments in the ports in Andhra Pradesh.
In a meeting with Mr. Sulayem in Dubai, Mr. Naidu said the DP World Group could foray into the seaports and logistics sector as A.P. offered excellent opportunities for mutual growth.
DP world is operating a major container terminal in Chennai Port for the past 25 years and has presence in both Tuticorin and Cochin Ports in Southern India.
Mr. Naidu also called on Emirates Airline Senior Vice-President Adnan Kazim and Fly Dubai CEO Ghaith al Ghaith to whom he suggested to choose A.P. as an integrated logistics hub by availing themselves of the infrastructure being created to promote the civil aviation and aerospace sectors.
