VOC Port Trust moves towards paperless office

VISAKHAPATNAM : VOC Port Trust has issued a circular that it goes online in its move towards paperless office for Ship Chandling and for other Trades Permission.

It informs, as the circular goes, that, as part of digitalization towards paperless office, Traffic Department has proposed to issue Ship Chandling and other Trades Permission through online mode.

Therefore henceforth all the existing Ship Chandling Permission holders & fresh applicants are requested to apply only through online process by clicking to the port website (Port Operations-> Ship Chandling License) to fill up the necessary details and attach the softcopy of the required documents. The required payment as assessed by the system is to be remitted through RTGS and uploaded in the system. The Traffic Department will process the submitted application form through online and the permission will be sent to the Email id given in the online application format. If the details furnished for the required Permission are not satisfied, the application will be rejected and will be intimated through email.

This came into effect from 20/11/2017.
