MUMBAI: A delegation from Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a leading organisation representing trade and business visited JNPT to get a first-hand experience of the terminal facilities and port operations.
Bombay Chamber of Commerce deputed a delegation of 40 of its members consisting of importers and exporters to understand the Port operations.
Dr. C. Unnikrishnan Nair, Chief Manager (Trafffic) and Capt Amit Kapoor, Deputy Conservator, JNPT welcomed the delegates and shared a brief presentation about recent initiatives the port has taken to facilitate trade and steps being implemented for Ease of Doing Business along with the measures which have resulted in saving of both cost and time.
The delegates were taken around for a detailed port tour to understand the various port operations. The delegates expressed their happiness and were appreciative of the initiatives taken by JNPT for boosting Export-Import Trade.
