KICT & Shreyas Shipping provides a win-win situation to Trade

GANDHIDHAM: It was on 28th March, 2018, that marked yet another feet in the short history of Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT). On this day, MV. SSL Delhi V17150 berthed at KICT under PIX2 service, making it the fifth service out of Kandla for Gulf & Upper Gulf Sector.

PIX2 service is being operated by Shreyas Shipping with the following rotation: KICT- Bandar Abbas-Jebel Ali - Mundra- Krishnapatnam- Kattupalli - Tuticorin- Cochin- KICT.

MV. SSL Delhi V17150 having an LOA of 207.4 mtrs and GRT of 25369, sailed out of KICT on 28th March 2018 itself with a total exchange of approx 470 boxes. This is the first “Common Carrier Service” carrying SOC boxes to Bandar Abbas out of KICT. On this occasion Mr. Amardeep Singh Parmar, Terminal Head, KICTPL thanked DPT & its marine department, Customs and Shreyas Shipping for their continued support in making KICT a success story.

PIX2 Service would help the trade in its exports to Bandar Abbas and Jebel Ali. KICT is the nearest terminal to the northern and western hinterlands of India. Hence with this PIX2 Service and its unique geography & advantages, KICTPL has successfully consolidated its position as a “Gateway to the Gulf & Upper Gulf”, said a KICT release.
