Handles 2.03 million TEUs in FY 2017-18
MUMBAI: APM Terminals Mumbai handled a record 2.028 million TEUs in the just concluded financial year ( 2017-18 ) - it’s highest volume performance since inception. The terminal achieved this through handling 633 vessels over the year.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Ravi Gaitonde, COO - APM Terminals Mumbai said, “We believe this success is a result of the cooperation extended by the entire trade community including the cargo owners, CFS operators, transporters, rail operators and the port and customs authorities. We look forward to their continued support in helping us achieve greater milestones and further improving quality of services we render at the terminal to remain terminal of choice of our customers.”
Nhava Sheva, the busiest Container Port in Northwest India, handled a record 4.8 million TEUs in 2017-18, with APM Terminals Mumbai accounting for 42% of the port’s total Container volume, said its release.
