Allcargo Logistics total revenue up 13% for June quarter

Mumbai: Allcargo Logistics Ltd  announced its un-audited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.

The total revenue of Rs. 979.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, as against Rs. 863.8 crore for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 13% EBIDTA of Rs. 118.2 crore for the quarter , as against Rs. 112.3 crore for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 5%.  The profit after tax was Rs. 55.6 crore for the quarter.

The business segment clocked total volumes of 69,548 TEUs for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, as against 63,550 TEUs for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 9%. Above 85% of the total volumes were imports. The total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 was Rs 83 crore as against Rs 67 crore for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 24%.EBIT was Rs. 32 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, as against Rs. 33 crore for the corresponding previous period.

Allcargo operates primarily in three segments, viz., Multimodal Transport Operations, Container Freight Stations Operations and Project & Engineering Solutions. These are consolidated business segments ie. Container Freight Stations (CFS)/ Inland Container Depot (ICD) Operations.  

Multimodal Transport Operations (MTO) segment involves NVOCC (Non Vessel Owning Common Carrier) operations related to LCL (Less than container load) consolidation and FCL (Full container load) forwarding activities in India and across the world through its wholly owned subsidiary ECU Line.

 The business clocked total volumes of 72,449 TEUs for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as against 70,228 TEUs for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 3%. The total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 was Rs 722 crore as against Rs 633 crore for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 14%. EBIT was Rs. 39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012, as against Rs. 34 crore for the corresponding previous period, an increase of 14%.

 Allcargo is in the process of adding capacity of 1,00,000 TEUs at bigger site near JNPT, close to the existing facility. This new CFS should be operational by end of Q2 Fy13.
