COSCO SHIPPING and Hisense Group signed an agreement on Strategic Cooperation

BEIJING : COSCO SHIPPING and Hisense Group Co., Ltd (Hisense Group) signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in Shanghai on April 18, which unveiled the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides. Capt. Xu Lirong, Chairman of the Board and Party Secretary of COSCO SHIPPING and Mr. Zhou Houjian, Chairman of the Board of Hisense Group attended the signing ceremony. Director and President Wan Min of COSCO SHIPPING and Vice President Lin Lan of Hisense Group signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides, respectively.

Founded in 1969, Hisense Group owns Hisense and Hisense Kelon, which are two public companies listed in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, as well as three well-known Chinese trademarks: Hisense, Kelon and Rongshen. Having established several R&D centers at home and abroad, Hisense Group is among the first batch of innovation-based enterprises approved by the state, and also a core pilot unit for the enterprise R&D of the national innovation system. It has set up manufacturing bases in South Africa, Mexico and Czech and more than 20 branches in the foreign countries. Its products are sold in more than 130 countries and regions all over the world.

In the principle of “long-term vision, mutual benefit, market orientation and win-win”, COSCO SHIPPING and Hisense Group agreed to carry out long-term comprehensive cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, give play to their own advantages, continuously promote the development of their own business, and strengthen the core competitiveness of one another in their respective domains. The ceremony was also attended by relevant heads of Hisense Group, Mr. Han Jun, President of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics and Assistant to the President of COSCO SHIPPING, Mr. Wang Haimin, President of COSCO SHIPPING Lines, as well as chiefs of the related divisions of COSCO SHIPPING and COSCO SHIPPING Lines.
