MUMBAI : Dr. John Joseph, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Customs Zone – II (Nhava Sheva) will grace the India Maritime Awards 2nd Edition as the Chief Guest to be held at ST. Regis, Lower Parel, Mumbai on 21st June 2017. Shri Anil Diggikar, IAS, Chairman – JN Port and Shri Ravi Parmar, IAS, Chairman – Kandla Port will grace the occasion as Guests of Honour.
Shri Ajay Bhadoo, IAS, Vice Chairman and CEO Gujarat Maritime Board and Shri Neeraj Bansal, IRS, Deputy Chairman - JN Port will be the Special Guests at the Award Ceremony.
Dr. John Joseph has played a pivotal role in augmenting the Direct Port Delivery volumes at India’s Number One Container Port – JNPT despite many odds. Further, under his Dynamic Leadership, Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House (JNCH), has implemented path breaking Ease of Doing Business initiatives to make things easier for the Export – Import Trade.
Dr. Joseph is an Indian Revenue Service Officer of 1983 batch having around 33 years of Civil Service experience in Government of India. Currently he heads JNCH – the highest revenue collecting Customs House in India. For his exemplary and meritorious service, he has been awarded with a Presidential Award during the year 1999.
Shri Anil Diggikar, is a Maharashtra Cadre Indian Administration Services (IAS) Officer of 1990 batch. His acumen for transport modality and deep understanding in ports foster him to lead JNPT’s current ambitious projects including- 4th Terminal, Satellite Port, 2 Dry ports, Multi-product SEZ Port et al.
Shri Ravi Parmar, is a Bihar cadre Indian Administration Services (IAS) Officer of 1990 batch. He has been instrumental in scaling Kandla Port to new heights by handling in excess of 100 MMT of cargo for two consecutive years now.
An insightful panel discussion on the Theme “Disruption in Logistics Sector” is also scheduled between the Award ceremony by eminent panellist.
The event will be attended by some of the Leading Lights of Shipping & Logistics fraternity and hence is a must attend event to honour and recognize the contributions made by Individual and Organization to the industry in various category for their achievements.
