MUMBAI : JNPT today hosted ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas’ programme to showcase the development work undertaken by the premier port in the country as well as by the government.
The first such function was organised today at Panvel (Vasudev BalwantPhadke Hall) addressed the by the elected representatives along with JNPT officials. A large no of local people attended the function.
JNPT Deputy Chairman, Shri Neeraj Bansal made a presentation on the work being done at JNPT and how the performance has improved in the last three years as profits have nearly doubled to Rs 1300 crore from around Rs 750 crore. He also spoke about the measures implemented that has resulted in zero congestion. Conscious steps taken as part of the ease of doing business has resulted in all round improvement in efficiency at the port. Shri Bansal further said that the government at the centre under Honourable Prime Minister Modi and Shipping ministry under honourable Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has been continuously encouraging the JNPT management to implement measures that will improve the efficiency.
Shri Ramsheth Thakur, former Member of Parliament, Shri Prashant Thakur, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Shri Srikant Bhartiya, Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister and Shri N R Kukarni, Manager Administration, JNPT also spoke at the function.
Shri Prashant Thakur praised the work of JNPT which has benefitted the trade as well as local population.
