SINGAPORE : PSA Voltri-Pra celebrated the official inauguration of its new One-Stop Office on 3 August 2017,. With a total investment of 2 million euros, this new building will provide the best standards in comfort and technologies to both the staff based there as well as the terminal users, including the 2,400 truck drivers that currently pass through the terminal gates every day.
The inaugural ceremony was hosted by Gilberto Danesi, Managing Director of PSA in Italy, and David Van Eynde, General Manager of PSA Voltri-Pra. Among the attendees were Trade Union delegates, Trade Associations, PSA Voltri-Pra staff and the Authorities.
The investment is part of a 250 million euros overall infrastructural modernisation plan for the PSA Voltri-Pra terminal, aimed at increasing its overall competitiveness.
Last year in 2016, PSA Voltri-Pra also purchased and commissioned 8 new quay cranes and upgraded the quay with new fenders and bollards for a total value of 75 million euros.
In 2017, VTE invested 27 million euros in 21 new Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs). These electric-powered gantries will replace the existing fuel-powered fleet. In addition, 20 million euros will be invested in the stacking area infrastructure of the terminal.
