Oilmeals export decline by 8 % during April-May 2018

NEW DELHI: The export of oilmeals during May 2018, provisionally reported at 97,036 tonnes compared to 144,524 tonnes in May 2017, as per the export of oilmeals data for the month of May 2018, compiled by The Solvent Extractors' Association of India.

The overall export during April & May 2018 is reported at 321,179 tonnes compared to 348,222 tonnes during the same period of last year i.e. down by 8%.

The export of rapeseed meal is sharply increased to nearly 143,000 tonnes, in first two months, mainly exported to South Korea and Thailand.

Port-wise Export : April - May 2018 The export from Deendayal Port is reported at 147,587 tonnes (46%), followed by Mumbai including JNPT handled 31,297 tonnes (10%), Mundra handled 38,693 tonnes (12%) and Kolkata handled 47,173 tonnes (15%).
