AHMEDABAD: The 102 years old CKB GROUP, in keeping with its tradition of being a leader and pioneer in the Logistics industry, added another chapter to their glorious history when they moved the first Customs cleared Closed Body Truck (CBT) from ICD Sanand (Ahmedabad) to Bangladesh under the new customs notification which allows such movement to Bangladesh & Nepal.

The CBT carrying textile goods was customs cleared at ICD Sanand, which is privately owned and was sealed with ECTS (Electronic Cargo Tracking System) by the Customs Department Officers and left the ICD on 2nd November 2018.

The same CBT, after verification of data, at Petrapole border by the local Customs, will move into Bangladesh and deliver the goods. The exporter will be able to complete all their processes as well as claim all their export benefits at their door step and will be able to move their export goods in an expeditous and safe manner to the neighbouring Country. So far this facility was available only from limited ICDs making it cumbersome for exporters.

The CBT was flagged of by Mr. Satyen Desai, COO, of CKB Group, in the presence of Mr. Ruchir Parekh, MD, The Thar Dry Port, which runs the ICD Sanand as well as other Officers of the Customs and ICD.
